History of the Jew’s harp in Austria

The only place in Austria, where Jew’s Harps are produced is Molln. In 1687 there where 23 Jew’s harp Masters in Austria today there are only three:

Jew Harps were produces very early approximately 1000 years ago they were produced in the word and since 500 years ago they were produced in Austria this is shown by the findings at the bourguignon. China is the Invention place from Jew Harps, but in an other from who we known here. It gave about many different Jaw Harps in the world.

Directions for use:

Take the Jew's Harp with left hand and place the parallel par of the frame against the teeth which must bekept open a little, tplayer/spielero enable the steel tongue of the harp to move feely, when bringing it into motion by touching it with the forefinger of your right hand. The vibration of the tones is caused by variously quick breathing and moving backward and forward of the human tongue.
